Before and After care

Things to note before your waxing treatment

  • An important factor to consider when waxing or starting to wax after shaving is that it can take several waxing sessions to achieve best results due to varying hair growth cycles. You may notice regrowth around a week after your wax, but avoid shaving the area between appointments to not interfere with your new waxing cycle.

  • Try not to put any moisturiser on prior to the area of your desired waxing treatment.

  • For best results, hair should be between 5mm to 10mm in length.

  • Please let your therapist know if you've had a fresh tattoo as that area will have to be avoided for 6 to 8 weeks.

Things to do and avoid after your waxing treatment

  • No swimming in chlorinated pools or excessive exercising for 24 hours after your waxing.

  • If your skin is itchy or red - which is common, run the skin under cold water for as long as necessary. Redness can occur for up to 24 hours.

  • Exfoliate your skin 2 to 3 times a week (but not for 48 hours after your waxing).

  • Moisturise daily to prevent dry skin in areas such as the knees and elbows for better waxing results.

  • Waxing at regular intervals of 4 to 5 weeks will encourage the hair to grow evenly which will give you a better waxing result.
